Yes, only the wired analogue connections need burning in. (The 4.4mm and 3.5mm), and it doesn’t matter what headphone you use to do it.

Yes. With the 3.5 or 4.4 ports the player itself is decoding and amplifying the signal. Where as if you use digital out like USB-C another DAC/AMP will do the work. The Walkman itself has no bearing on the sound at all if you use USB-C.

Absolutely not. It’s a digital signal, it’ll be the same after 1000 hours as it is now.

Settled on Black Player EX as my default player. This thing is beautiful, great interface, amazing visuals & all the key functions. Reads all my tags perfectly, too. (Something some other players like UAPP didn‘t do) Unless you must have bit perfect and/or high res, I’d strongly recommend this...

That‘s disappointing about Roon, but not a deal breaker for me. I can still listen to my home collection via Plex.
