Just Thanks. Just to be clear, I am currently plugged into the 6.35mm plug using the adapter that came with the K7 and the stock HD6xx cables. I do have a 4.4mm adapter that came with the headphones, but I do not have balanced cables for my headphones. Are balanced cables required?

Well, I just got my K7BT. Really impressed with how it brings my HD6XX to life. Really adds a solid thump in the bass without being muddy and brings out clarity/imaging I never heard before. Quick question - when I change the sample rate of my audio in Windows above 48k it seems to "upsample"...

So I just received the K7BT. Can't believe how good it makes my new HD6xxs sound. Details are popping in the music that I've never heard! The bass sounds nice and controlled as well with a nice added thump. Amazing!

Power, if it means better sound quality. It’s hard because I just don’t know the perceptible differences. I’m assuming the K7 will be a jump in sound which I’m willing to pay $200 extra for if it’s noticeable. I don’t want to pay for more power if it’s not needed though and actually wouldn’t...

Not really an option as returns are difficult. It breaks down to $325CAD for the K7BT ($279 for the non-BT version) and $110 for the KA13.

so I just tried my new HD6xx with the apple dongle. Suffice it to say, the sound was thin and quiet. An amp is definitely needed. I’m still debating whether to pick up the KA13 and hope that it can be a main driver, or just go straight to the K7 as I may always be wondering what I was missing?
