Sorry for my previous comment. I must have been blinded by listening to them without EQ for too long... I've been listening to them with EQ now for a couple of hours and I must say they sound way better with EQ than without. The do in fact sound very unbalanced without EQ.

    In-ear headphones for all situations

I have decided for a pair of IE6. But I just found out about a little thing called Fiio E5 which seems to be a nice little thing. It's cheap and people say it makes difference. Is it a good idea to buy one? If not for the IE6 maybe for my AKG K271 which I bring with me sometimes? Is there any...

    In-ear headphones for all situations

The Vsonic GR07 looked okay, have to read some reviews of it.   What if i "upgrade" the Sennheiser IE7?   I've been thinking of ordering from Amazon so that gives me a lot more to chose from. I see the IE7 is available for...

Will my phone bottleneck the IE6? Would i benefit from getting a portable headphone amplifier?

Okay, I think I've decided to pick the IE6. Will I need a separate amplifier or is it okay to plug them directly to my HTC Desire phone? I know my AKG K271 MKII sounds horrible when plugged to my phone, but I guess in-ear plugs are easier?

    In-ear headphones for all situations

Looked through all of your suggestions, ZARIM, but none of them were available at the swedish stores Komplett or Webhallen. They must be available at any of these stores because i will get a gift from a guy who is sponsored by them.   The sennheiser IE7 looked very nice, but unfortunately...

Review by 'Rullknufs' on item 'AKG K 272 HD High-Definition Headphones'

Very comfortable! Sound is great, although the bass may be a little weak sometimes. I'm not a bass-freak so that's okay for me though. Replaceable cable is great, also the ear-pads are replaceable which is also great. I find the leathery ones to be most comfortable and fit my head the best.

    In-ear headphones for all situations

Hi!   I'm looking for a pair of in-ear headphones to use mainly when training/running/walking but also at school. Budget is $150. Will be using them with my HTC Desire phone.   I currently have a pair of AKG K272 MKII powered by Asus Xonar STX and i like the sound. But for the in-ear...

    New headphones, around $240

I was at a LAN-party the latest days and my mates tried my headphones. Everybody was like "wow!" and they said they had never heard such good headphones before (they go with the cheapest possible deltaco lol). There's one guy though who is a little interested in audio and he tried them. One hour...

    New headphones, around $240

I have been offered to buy an Asus Xonar STX, Creative T40 and Creative Aurvana Live for a totalt och $235. Sounds like a good deal for me if i sell the speakers and headphones included. Then the STX wouldn't cost me much more than the DX.

    New headphones, around $240

I have been thinking more and more of the Xonar STX. I see the price has dropped to around $235. It has RCA outputs which the DX has not. It has better components overall and a decent built-in amplifier. So the STX is about double the cost of DX.   The price difference is now around $125...

    New headphones, around $240

I got an idea.  I might not need a soundcard at all, if i buy an Emotiva XDA-1 DAC which i will use for my speakers aswell. Just going optical to the XDA-1 then have the headphone amplifier connected to the DAC. There would be a problem though, i would need long analogue cables either from the...

    New headphones, around $240

I made it after a little while. I decided to stick with the pleather pads. The other were harder and thicker which meant they did not fit on my head as good as the soft leather ones. I think it's fine as long as i take them off my head for a minute every two or three hours or so...
