Cavalli Compact Tube Hybrid (CTH) Tube & Tweak thread.
I know this probably belongs on the for-sale forum, but it's been so long I thought I'd post here where folks might remember what this is (mod's willing) -- the Spruce Canyon web site is gone... I have a CTH kit from Spruce Canyon Labs I never built (got a new job just after it arrived and...- royewest

Gamma-2 (γ2) DAC Thread
Some of the Thinkpad docks have coax SPDIF out ports. Good luck with USB -- I had a heck of a time with it when I was on Thinkpads with USB -- lots of stuttering and drops. With luck the more sophisticated reclocking, etc., on the y2 will work much better for you when connected to the TP via USB.- royewest

Millett "Starving Student" hybrid amp
I'll let others respond to the audio characteristics of short runs of different purities of copper, etc. To me, the advantages of decent-quality teflon-coated wire are: * Good build quality of the wire that makes it consistent and reliable and easy to work with * Teflon doesn't shrink back...- royewest

Hope it's OK to post here that I have my unbuilt and basically unopened Beezar SSMH kit for sale in the amps-for-sale forum. (I've built 2 and am buried with work so don't have time in the forseeable future to build this one.) I made some bravado statement there about "highest offer" by 9...- royewest

Starving Student Looking For Help
If you're just a little persistent and indeed if you look locally you shouldn't have too much trouble finding 19J6 tubes, which are the only practical choice for the SSMH amp. Beezar.com has a kit that comes with tubes, if you're OK working with a PCB rather than point-to-point.- royewest
