Waveforn
I just downloaded Audacity and installed it. So far the worse looking waveforms go to AIC's new album, Black Gives Way to Blue (2009), and Rammstein's, Reise, Reise (2004). I don't have Californication in flac yet, but I'm sure that's another awful one.- Ross Ergga

How do their 2nd and 3rd albums compare? So bad recordings can damage your music gear? That's something new to me.- Ross Ergga

Vote for your favorite Dream Theater album!
1. Images and Words 2. Awake Without a doubt my favorite and most played albums from them. Here their songs seem more focused and inspired then anything else I've heard, imo. 3. Metropolis Pt 2: SFAM Pretty good overall with some stand out tracks, but tends to lose it's focus. 4. 6...- Ross Ergga

Vote for your favorite Dream Theater album!
I purchased BCASL about a week ago, listened to the first song for a couple of minutes, and then immediately put the CD back in it's case in disappointment. I didn't like SC either. Perhaps when I'm in a more curious mood I'll give it another go, but I don't expect much from them anymore. I hate...- Ross Ergga

Best "mastered" albums of the decade?
Hmm well this is interesting. Scratch off Praises to the War Machine then, since I'm pretty sure I hear distortion with some of the lower bass, and some piercing highs that don't sound like they off a cymbal. Can't decide if there's some with distorted guitars though. How do you get those graphs...- Ross Ergga

Currently enjoying these out of my pitiful laptop jack. One thing that has been standing out to me is the vocal quality. I have a lot of music that has distorted and background vocals, and of course a lot of screaming. They're intelligible and clear. Bass goes down low and isn't over emphasized...- Ross Ergga

Mini Review: PHENIX G3
Well, this was a huge disappointment. I finally get the thing and can't for the life of me plug in the left rca jack. So with my frustration of trying to force the damn sucker in, I nudge the volume knob and that comes loose. Must resist urge to slam into the floor... At least I got to listen to...- Ross Ergga

Finally received my custom dt880s 600 ohms. Still waiting on my amp, so I just plugged these into my laptop jack. sa5000 were bright and thin, but these certainly aren't to my ears. They sound a lot like my dt770, in a good way.- Ross Ergga

Mini Review: PHENIX G3
I wonder how it plays with faster music like metal? I really like my sa5000 when it comes to metal because the double bass drum doesn't mask the midrange. I guess you could call it a thin sound? I'm wondering if the dt880 would still keep most of it's bass finesse with this amp? I would...- Ross Ergga
