TRI earphone impressions - I4 and I3, Starlight, NEW Starsea
thanks for the reply, i don't mine the driver flex as much as the suction effect , if it was properly ventilated it shouldn't happen. (every small move of the head and they keep inserting themselves deeper and deeper into my ear), it doesn't happen with foam tips, but i don't like foam tips- Robigy

Anyone else having bad driver flex with the i3? i have the 2 pin version and it creates a sort of suction that i find really uncomfortable. wonder if that's the case with the MMCX version, as i see they have different venting holes..- Robigy

Ok, so i'm now using this contraption, and it definitely sounds better and more 3d, i will try to change the mck firmware but the volume will be too loud as i limit it with the android app. At least this gives me hope and i will try to optimize the cables..maybe use a Y Cable or something on my...- Robigy

Using it on my android phone and my mac m1 mac, it does sound a bit different when plugged into each one, but the 1 dimensional sound (just left-right) is always there on either one..you are right, i should sell it, but i wanted to know if all ESS dac's are like this (The AKM dac's i've tried...- Robigy

I bought the e1da 9038 based on the good reviews, and while it is a clean dac/amp i feel like the sound doesn't have any depth or layering..Is this a thing regarding ESS dac's or is it just this one?- Robigy

This cable right here inside the iem is ultimately the limiting factor of any cable you are going to buy for the iem (8 core,16 core). even if you buy a 1000€ cable, this is still the weak link or bottleneck, unless you hook it directly into the driver itself..- Robigy

Yeah, it seems to me that the air cannot escape fast enough from the enclosure with the stock filter/mesh, thus creating a tube like resonance around the midbass frequency- Robigy

I have tried removing the mesh, the midbump was gone, clarity was increased, but the highs were a bit too much for my taste so i cut a a bit of foam and inserted it into the nozzle, this kept the good things but tamed the highs :) i think it’s something to try if you find the Blons a bit veiled...- Robigy
