Is there a way to convert the typical audio out to Spdif? And sorry, I don't know much about this, what do you mean by decoder?

The audio on my TV is terrible, and in the interests of utilizing the equipment I have instead of buying new audio equipment to hook up to my TV, is there a way to connect an 0404 usb to a TV? Eh? Oops my TV is an older sony trinitron model kv32fs200...has the standard red/white audio outputs...

It seems odd to me that they would market them as a portable pair yet still make them open. I will mostly be using these at the gym with my mp3 player, do you think the sound is loud enough to be bothersome? Oh well, I'm not leaning towards the closed, pcx 200.

Yeah, I rip my music to lame v2, which works for me. I remember having troubles setting up my ASIO a while back and just giving up, maybe I'll try checking that out again. Thanks for following up Sherwood. I will check out those amps too.

Right now I've got my phones (grado 225) connected to my emu0404, which connects to my comp. I think soon I will invest in an amp, something modest. Depending on what I get, do you think it will run okay through my comp and emu0404, or should I just ditch that setup and go with a completely...
