It depends. if you love incredible sounding music, then yes. They'd be worth $1500 - every penny. But if you are a person satisfied with simply great sounding music then stick with the 215s, because franklyignorance is bliss...and a whole lot cheaper. personally, I'm never going back to great...- rmiller511

Been in short supply this past week or so and haven't been able to catch up on this thread to check and see if this is already posted, so will apologize in advance for the duplication - BUT for those of you interested - potential buyers who may be trying to come to terms with the sticker...- rmiller511

SomeGuyDude - Just had another thought...thinking back on your earlier posts - trying to resolve the 846's bass in your own mind. To me, it's like this: the 846's bass, while giving you a lot of it, still sounds natural and real. They simply give you more of a good thing. The Atrios...- rmiller511

Amen, brother. I fell behind in this thread and wrote that not knowing you had actually bought a pair for yourself. So glad you did. It's nice to hear another MG7er's opinion. All I can say is...you must be loving these things. There are so many products on the market that...- rmiller511

Some people will like the bass sound a DD make and others will like what the 846s do to it. It is a matter of taste. Personally, I wish there was a switch on the 846s that allowed me to switch between the two sounds at will....on a whim. I enjoy them both. Hybrids aside - BAs are always...- rmiller511

ay Damn. So sorry I did not pick up on this earlier. One thing I know about you is that you own and like Atrios, so that makes it easy. Close your eyes. Imagine the bass of the Artios but better - more accurate and detailed, but every bit as deep and wide. As hard hitting and...- rmiller511

I am so very glad you made that post. The DX90 was my most likely candidate for a DAP upgrade and I think you saved me some grief as well as money. My weapon of choice at this time remains the S4 with V4A, and I gotta tell you - it rocks. Plain and simple. V4A is largely responsible...- rmiller511

Monty - forgot to tell you this yesterday after looking at your pics, but dude, you are a dead ringer for Malcolm McDowell. No, seriously. You could pass as his stunt double. Bet you get that a lot, huh. Probably used it to your advantage. No telling how many poor, duped women think they...- rmiller511

Damn, caught that, did ya. Busted. Couldn't afford 2 pair at once, so I struck a compromise with her. I would buy her the SE215 SEs (which sound kick ass, by the way, and as an added bonus look way cool) for now, and get her the 846s for christmas (or by christmas, at least). ...- rmiller511

For the 846ers - Favorite Songs
Thought I would make this a separate thread so the info does not get lost and buried in the appreciation thread. What are your favorite songs to listen to on the SE846s - the ones that really showcase their qualities and make them shine? This is mine (well, a subset, anyway): Bass...- rmiller511
