    Shure SRH1540 Review

Ditto - super comfortable. I know some people have qualms with the headband comfort but it’s perfect for me.

    Shure SRH1540 Review

Does adding the sheepskin pads drastically reduce sound leakage? The alcantaras are great but I feel a little conscious since the sound leaks a little, even at a moderate volume (though I'm not saying my hearing is the best :)

Recommendations for the Audio Technica ATH-BT05 bluetooth adapter?

Thank you. That helps a lot. I'll wait a little and do some more research in the mean time. The Fiio BTR-1 was so promising but the lack of AAC was the deal breaker for me since I'm in iOS land.

Recommendations for the Audio Technica ATH-BT05 bluetooth adapter?

Thank you - wanted to know about the codec :) Do you recommend the Astell & Kern XB10 by any chance? Seems like it supports the AAC codec and is supposed to have a decent DAC + Amp?

Recommendations for the Audio Technica ATH-BT05 bluetooth adapter?

https://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-BT05-BK-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B0087BQCHE I'm curious if anyone has tried the Audio Technica ATH-BT05 bluetooth adapter (import from Japan). Wondering if it supports AAC and has a good dac/amp combo? Looks similar to...

FiiO’s Upgraded Bluetooth Amplifier BTR1K: Qualcomm QCC 3005 BT chip, BT 5.0 and aptX /aptX LL/AAC supported, RGB light, NFC pairing, Type C and USB DAC

Think of it this way: [iPhone/iPad has audio file in AAC] ==> <sends file over wireless> ==> [bluetooth digital codecs supported SBC/APTx/AAC] --> <convert Digital file to analog> ==> Headphones So if the bluetooth receiver (BTR1 in this case) doesn't support AAC, the iOS device will re-encode...

FiiO’s Upgraded Bluetooth Amplifier BTR1K: Qualcomm QCC 3005 BT chip, BT 5.0 and aptX /aptX LL/AAC supported, RGB light, NFC pairing, Type C and USB DAC

Hmm I tried several times, including a full reset. How are you checking AAC btw? I'm looking at the console log on a Mac: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/howto-find-which-codec-is-used-between-ios-device-and-bluetooth-headphones.835289/)

FiiO’s Upgraded Bluetooth Amplifier BTR1K: Qualcomm QCC 3005 BT chip, BT 5.0 and aptX /aptX LL/AAC supported, RGB light, NFC pairing, Type C and USB DAC

I'm having the same problem - use Apple music and it's still using SBC (instead of AAC). Confirmed using the guide here: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/howto-find-which-codec-is-used-between-ios-device-and-bluetooth-headphones.835289/) How are you getting AAC to work?
