It sounds like you have the same wide tastes that I do. I'm currently using 650's at home driven by an E10, but I'm on the pre-order list for the HE-400's which should arrive 2nd week of Feb. according to Hifiman. I'm also getting the E17 for travel, so I'll let you know how the HE-400 + E17...

Got my Mixamp and HD650. I have to crank the Mixamp to almost max volume to get loud enough in BF3, but I think that's because the 650's need a little more juice than normal cans. So far it's not bad... the sound positioning does help a little.
