As an update for me:    The 4.3 update fixed the issue for my AT&T S4 so the E18 works now with it. Unfortunately lost my root during the process though.

Hey Matt,   What tubes are you using with the Lyr? Using the Lyr/MD combo also but I'm on the stock GE's. Ordered some Amperex 60's OG...hopefully it'll improve the sound. Any tube rolling advice? (Not many others using MDs with the Lyr on the tube rolling thread)

I had the K550s for a week and returned them. Just ordered the MDs so ill let you know. I wasn't too impressed by the K550s though. Anyone have any opinions on how this compares to the iBasso D6 or even the iBasso PB2?     Looking for a portable amp for the Mad Dogs. Granted the D6 has a DAC, I'm more interested in the amp pairings of the Mad Dogs to the C5/D6/PB2s.

What are your thoughts on the need for warranty for a Lyr? I might buy used but I will have no warranty. Essentially a new Lyr vs used will be roughly $170-$200 difference. Is the 5 year warranty worth the price difference? Have there been many repairs needed by current Lyr users? Thanks!
