Since it's been nearly two months with no news regarding the Desktop DAC, I thought that I would stir things up a bit.   Anyone heard anything or know what's going on with it?  I've bought my share of gear from HR and - based on my own experience - definitely recommend them for the quality...

If you want to work out with them, then their ability to stay snugly in the ears is obviously critical.  I'm fairly certain that I've read on the forum that others have had the same problem as well.  Since, the FX500s don't isolate well, they probably would not work well for what you want.   ...

I can't speak for the other DAC's you're interested in, but I own the DA10 and have been very pleased. I have no problem recommending it. Although I have not heard the DA11, I would be surprised if I could even hear any differences between it and the DA10(I'll probably get flamed on that...

I find that my 702's and DT Millett Hybrid w/ DTPS match very well...and never find bass response to be an issue (either too much or too little).
