Musical Paradise M2-D2 AK4490 Balanced Dac Reviews?
Yeah, its all about the journey putting pieces together to get the best sound you personally enjoy most. If there's no need to match the tubes it definitely is much easier to source for the them tubes and for cheaper as well, probable downside would be shorter live span i guess. I would love to...- renren234

Musical Paradise M2-D2 AK4490 Balanced Dac Reviews?
haha, a step ahead of you. I got the NOS Siemens GZ34 without the metal base tho not sure which year it is. Interesting, will definitely roll some other rectifier, maybe not the Amperax cause forward sounding isn't my thing. I ordered the AKM4490, am thinking of getting a separate module for...- renren234

Musical Paradise M2-D2 AK4490 Balanced Dac Reviews?
I see, so youre running the mp-d2 ->Don Sachsould -> Odyssey, does running a tube dac into tube preamp improves the tubey sound? Excuse my ignorance, i have no idea if running tubes into tubes would be better or counterproductive. Can the mp-d2 be used as sort of a pre-amp into an amp. Yeah...- renren234

Musical Paradise M2-D2 AK4490 Balanced Dac Reviews?
Appreciate the input Darcman and lukas. I dont have the Dac with me now yet (deposit placed but waiting on restock). I will be running it straight into active speakers for now but am thinking of changing into passive in the future. So here i am thinking, who runs a tube dac into a tube amp? or...- renren234

Home-Made IEMs
First off, I'm not very great with making shells. Still experimenting and had so many failures. But these are what I know. I think magic gloss is pretty easy to handle actually. First, just pour the resin into your mould. Turn on the uv chamber for 4-6minutes(Depending on how thick you want it...- renren234

I could share with you what I know about magic gloss and hope your first set of shells would already be usable! Can't commend much on the crystal resin tho- renren234

Home-Made IEMs
If you didn't know, the Lisa pavelka uv magic gloss works very different from the other kind of uv resin. 1oz can probably make about 2pair of shell. The Magic gloss is not reusable, so do not pour the leftover back in the bottle. I poured the leftover back in my 1oz bottle and kind of spoiled...- renren234

Home-Made IEMs
Understood. Just one last question. What's the formula you used for calculation? Seems like I'm doing something wrong here. 1/(2*pi*R*C), 1/(2*3.1415*1*0.0000015)? Doesn't equate to 5k. Or is the resistance from the Ci calculated in too?- renren234

Won't the Ci need a resistor to match WBFK output?- renren234

Ahh I see. Should I put the HPF at 1kHz (3.3R 47uF) instead? And let Ci play the full range.- renren234

Hey am thinking of pairing Ci22955 with WBFK30019 in parallel. LPF 10R 22uF (556.49Hz), HPF 3R 100uF (530.57Hz). Is that right? Any advice would be appreciated! :)- renren234

Thank you for your reply! Just a question, the capacitor C2 and resistor R2 in parallel is the HPF for the driver am I right?- renren234

Home-Made IEMs
Hello, ive just started on making ciem. Am still experimenting tho, but I need some help with crossover. This is just a rough circuit I drew up. I know there is already a few crossover circuits out there I can follow, but after reading into the theory I have many questions in mind and would...- renren234
