Has anyone heard of Periapt cables?

Hello, I am one of the owners of Periapt cable brand. I'm sorry you had a less then perfect experience. Some of our employees were not familiar with HIFIMAN's legacy connector. Unfortunately it is not a connector we carry anymore do to issues with that screw on connector and it is something we...

Has anyone heard of Periapt cables?

Hello, I am with Periapt Cables. We are sorry you had an issue with one of our cables and are thankful you were able to fix it. In the future no matter how small an issue we would greatly appreciate feedback so we can improve our manufacturing process. This is the first we heard of this. It...

Has anyone heard of Periapt cables?

Hello, I am with Periapt Cables. The "splitter part" is a long heat shrink used as extra protection underneath the paracord. These are made to order so we can make them however you want. If you do decide to try us again, on the "special instruction for seller" comment box on the cart page...

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

I guess my point is on extremly higher voltage amps( in this case vintage) the 400s don't seem to sound their best; in my limited experience of course. 400s sound great on my laptop, phone, smsl $50 amp, Burson Lycann and my Gustard H10.

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

It could be placebo but my 400s sound a bit concealed(?, Not sure that's a good word) on my high ohms vintage 1970s stereo jacks (marantz, pioneer, and Nikko). I use my 600 880s on those.

    The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread

I got the Burson Lycann because I was looking for a smaller solution that would work for my 600ohms phones. The Lycann is 2.2watts at 16 and .2watts at 300. They didn't list 600 but I took a gamble. The 880 sounded like someone covered them with a sheet. They were loud but didn't have the...

    The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread

it really depends on your ohms version. If it's the 600 ohms I would get an old school amp from goodwill if you can fit it for your solution. You can get like a Nikko, or even a marantz 2216 for around $100. All though that might be odd to carry around with your phone if you plan to use it like...

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

Could be your excuse to buy Staxs. Lol. Double check but they don't use a magnetic field, it's electrostatic. Not sure if that's any safer, I did a quick Google search and didn't find anything.

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

If you want to keep the bass too (and IMO it increased it) get the ZMF cowhide version.

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread

Hazaaa!!! I made my own cable out of the Fostex th-x00 left overs. Actually have enough to make two. Pictures aren't so pretty but overall decent enough for my first.           I'm having a hard time finding a good price on connectors. The ones i got off of Ebay were cheap in price...

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

I suggest the ZMF cowhide ($49.99). They seem to add a bit more bass boost too me. I've use the Alpha dog (lamb skin), and the Brainwaves pleather.

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

If you are looking to add bass swap to zmf cowhide pads. I went from alpha to those and I noticed improved bass. Got the zmf for my fostex th-00 but it was just to much bass so I swapped them with my alphas on the 400s.
