    Alright, these are the most confusing set of cans I've ever owned. Why are they so cheap? It doesn't make any sense.   Right out of the gate, these are the most comfortable set of headphones ever. I use them primarily for watching TV late at night, and have fallen asleep wearing them multiple times. The ear pads are huge, the foam is soft, and the covers are just nice.     These are easily my favorite headphones I own. My review will be assuming you have Shure 1540 pads, but I'll go over some other options as well.   Lets get the big negative out of the way now. The stock pads are simply murder on your ears. The headphones sound better with them than with alternatives, but I could never live with the stock pads, and immediately replaced them. I also tried with Shure 1840 pads, but I don't think they sound as good as with the 1540s, YMMV. The stock headband is also pretty bad, but I've never thought of it as...

    When these went on sale at massdrop I thought I was going to put one over on the man and get some really good audiophile grade headphones for $100, sadly that's not what I got when the package finally arrived (nearly two months late).   The HE-350s LOOK like every HiFiMan can you've ever seen, however, that's pretty much where the similarities end.
