Getting Headphones To Work With 360 & PC Simultaneously

Ah, I'm trying to have my Skype sound go through so I can chat with people on Skype, but also get the sound from games through my headphones. Shame if it won't work, but it makes perfect sense. Back to the drawing board!

Getting Headphones To Work With 360 & PC Simultaneously

So my headphones would be connected by a 3.5mm cable to a female adapter, which then has two male outputs. One output connects to my Xbox, while the other connects to my sound card. My Xbox is hooked up through HDMI, so I would need to use an HDMI audio extractor/splitter. Would this work?

    (Follow-up) Philips FIdelio X1s & Sound Blaster Z

Hey guys, me again. I posted around a week ago about getting a proper sound card for the Fidelio X1s, and I ended up getting the Sound Blaster Z. Now, this may be a noob question, but how can I tell if I'm getting the full potential from the headphones and the sound card? I mean, right now...

Sound Card for the Philips Fidelio X1

Okay, I'll try out the Z and if I don't like it then I'll see if the DX is any better. Thanks again for all the help!

Sound Card for the Philips Fidelio X1

I think I'll be going with the Sound Blaster Z. One thing: are the other versions (Zx, ZxR) anything to be concerned with? I know the Zx comes with a module, but other than that it looks the same. I haven't looked into the ZxR at all, though.

Sound Card for the Philips Fidelio X1

All right, I'll look into both then. I really don't wanna be spending money on an amp yet, but maybe later on after I have the core of my setup. Thanks a lot!

Sound Card for the Philips Fidelio X1

Hey guys, I've been lurking the past few days and decided to make an account. This is such an awesome site and has really opened my eyes about sound quality. I apologize in advance if this has been asked before, but I did search before deciding to post. My findings weren't very successful...
