anyone heard of technics 3-way speakers??
So are you guys saying for the most part "3-way" isnt the way to go, and I would be better off going with 2 more bookshelves and a sub? (I willl end up spending more than 100 obviously) is 2 bookshelves and sub the way to go no matter how much I want to spend?- rebith75

anyone heard of technics 3-way speakers??
allright I wont get those i suppose, the reason I am looking into 3-ways is currently I am rocking some DYI dayton BR-1's (pretty good reviews for bookshelves), and I am looking for a little more bass and some more power, So a pair of 3-ways would do the trick, maybe ill look for a dedicated sub...- rebith75

usb dac "snowy" or "hissy"
I turned the volume down completely and still get this, I have a silverstone EB01 usb dac, how would I still get this if it is external, should I dissable onboard sound anyway? Is this a sign that when I am playing music the sound quality is no better than what it was when I was using on board?- rebith75

adaptor to cheapen system/source directly to dac usb
if I were to use a computer as my source into a usb dedicated DAC like the ones on this list (http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=162717) then use a 1/4" to RCA adaptor for headphone use would this be allright (as well as the rca out to my amp). Or is there something wrong with this...- rebith75
