I HATE FRY'S!
Many stores don't charge you when a virtual transaction is made, due to possible complications and liability. From a retailer perspective, it's safer to not charge your credit card until an item is shipped or picked up. I don't know of the exact legal issues behind it, but it's very common...- rbui

Songs to use as a good benchmark/song to impress your friends
I second Hotel California, and third Under the Bridge. For hip-hop/rap fans, Busta Rhymes ft. Eminem - I'll Hurt You. It's not very musical, but the bass is punchy and clean, and the violins have a nice range for treble. Beware low quality versions of this song, as they sound like utter crap on...- rbui

DEAL ALERT: Monster Turbine Pro Copper @ Dell.com (NOW NOT AVAILABLE AS OF 3-17-10)
dabulls3: To answer your first and third questions, it largely depends on how you feel about the SE530s and their overall sound signature. From what I know (I've never owned SE530s), the one thing they do wonderfully is mids. If you're perfectly happy with that, then you don't have much reason...- rbui

DEAL ALERT: Monster Turbine Pro Copper @ Dell.com (NOW NOT AVAILABLE AS OF 3-17-10)
dweaver: Good to have your opinion of how they perform though, I've always wondered how they fit/sound but never considered buying and trying them for myself, especially given the price they usually go for. Based on what you said, I think I'll stay away from them unless I can get them for a huge...- rbui

dweaver: I'll take any opportunity I get to practice persuasive rhetoric. All kidding aside, I forgot about you saying you'd have to return the golds to buy the coppers; I was under the false assumption that you could have both of them side by side for your own listening and testing. But, in...- rbui

DEAL ALERT: Monster Turbine Pro Copper @ Dell.com (NOW NOT AVAILABLE AS OF 3-17-10)
ethan961: Ultimately it's just the quality that matters though; if you're happy with the performance of a product, and you're happy with what you paid for it, you should be happy with it all around. With monster, I don't think their products have ever been terrible, just extremely overpriced...- rbui

My current order status is "In Production" with an estimated delivery date of 3/31/2010, and I ordered last night as well. I think that's more or less a placeholder though, my dell laptop arrived weeks earlier than it's est. delivery date.- rbui
