    I like the simplicity and stability of Default UI and with minimal effort you can add a little eye candy to make it look decent too. I wish there was a component for browsing albums by cover art. With the DUI SDK finally out maybe I'll get my wish before long.

    folder.jpg, front.jpg and cover.jpg are all recognized by foobar when in the same directory as the music files. Personally I embed the album art in my FLACs. Mp3tag is an easy way to add album art to your audio files.

    Since you're a Foobar user just use the built-in Convert function. Unless you listen to your portable under perfect conditions, I doubt you'll hear any difference at V4 setting which should cut the file size to ~1/2 of the 320. As already mentioned use lossless as the source NOT the MP3s.
