I picked up the solo2 after reading that review.  I don't regret it at all.

Beats Solo 2 are on Tyll's wall of fame at inner fidelity, so I bought a pair on sale for $89 last week.  They are pretty good headphones and a steal at that price.  

I have the pm-3. I use it for portable music listening and on my ps-4. I like it for gaming because it's so comfortable and I can hear everything clearly.

I have the 650 and the pm-3. They are different beasts, the 650 is open and the oppo is closed. If you're not getting an amp get the oppo, it's very easy to drive. In my opinion the 650 requires a good amp.
