E18 contains a DAC so I won't consider it knowing how well the Wolfson DAC performs. E12 is the choice if you only want an amp.

Is the Note 4 (Exynos) Wolfson amp good enough that getting the FiiO E12 is not worth it and would waste a good Note 4 amp?

Is the Wolfson DAC on the Exynos version good enough to the point where buying the Dragonfly v1.2 DAC would be a bit of a waste and not really worth the money?

Your profile tells me you own the FiiO E12 amp, but doesn't show your DAC's. Which ones do you have?

A few questions if you don't mind (anyone can answer): 1. I'm afraid of making the sound even worse (using any amp or amp/DAC). Is this possible? 2. Also, can E18 work only as a DAC (this is probably the same for all amp/DAC's, so a better question is - can an amp/DAC work only as a DAC?)...

Is the E17 a reasonable choice? Tell me if you know a better one. Maybe there's some amp/DAC that would work decently with the Android?
