@Dsnuts I can't remember if you ever got your hands on a Hype 4. If so, would you be able to compare the TSMR-X to the Hype 4? I'm just trying to figure out if it is a waste of my time to grab the Hype 4.

I would agree, they are on fire lately and I hope they can keep up the momentum. The Hydro was a good buy.

Are you normally sensitive to treble or is it just that bad?

The Rhapsody had the better stage but not by much. As for timbre, I lean towards the Trio, it's just really nice.

It's just timing. I was late to the game with the Rhapsody and maybe not more than a month after I scooped it up I got the Trio as it was one of those limited time deals before the Holidays for a mystery 3DD. I loved that promotion. The thing is that I like both the Rhapsody and the Trio...

Depends. Take out the Trio and the 500LM. Don't critically analyze them, just sit back and listen and don't worry about the flaws. Which one speaks to you the most? If that is the Trio then the Hydro is going to make you smile. If that is the 500LM, the Hydro isn't going to change your mind...

I admire your resolve to not spend more money on cheap chifi however it's nigh impossible to resist the allure of hyped up sets to see what they are all about. The FOMO is real.

It is the 784 cable that you can choose as an option to ship with the CCA Hydro. Compared to the OG cables that usually ship with CCA and KZ products, it's worth the extra $5 dollars or so to upgrade.

I've been listening to the CCA Hydro all day now. I believe that this very well might be the best product they have put out. I'll leave it at that. I'm trying to decide which switch settings I like the best, going to have to wait until tomorrow. Reminds me more of the Trio than it does the...

The DSP is like an ideal analog chain, so you get good results without having to worry about having gear that has good synergy with the set or happens to appeal to your senses.
