thanks guys, I ordered a pair of these today to use while commuting instead of my bose triport AE or my sr80s. I'll give some of my (admittedly novice) impressions when they arrive.

so, I did the diymod to my mini 1g, and I still get audio from it, so I think it didn't not work, but bonthouse told me I can't use a regular LOD as it will destroy my amp. I have been searching for some sort of tutorial to make a lod for use with the diymod but I can't find anything. do I...

I bought a cMoy for like $30 from ebay ages ago, and it recently failed. The black wire battery connector had broken off, so I soldered it back but i still get very low volume sound out of one ear, , and the led is kinda dull, I have attached pictures of the top and bottom of the cmoy, any help...

do i need a potentiometer if i dont have volume control?
