Thanks for the clarification! Unless I’m missing something, setting the v281 to Fixed is the preferred way to go when hooking up to another headphone amp such as an Hp8/Stratus?

Just making sure I understand the Pre/Post (Fixed/Variable) capabilities. If I set to Fixed, the v281 acts as a pass-through? If set to Variable the v281 acts as a preamp?

Thanks! There are aspects of the MiB that excite me but I worry it may be too soft with the Stratus although it may pair well with my v281 and ho8. And any thoughts on GS2 (A1)? This can be found much cheaper than the OG saving $$$ for mib upgrade… And of course there is the Gungnir 2..

Has anyone tried the Yggdrasil MiB? I’m leaning towards an A2 at the moment as the improvements mentioned above match what I’m looking for.

This speaks to synergy. If I sum it up, SE to SE Amp will be fine but if sending SE to an amp that prefers XLR, there MAY be some SQ impact. Is the OG (A2) the only board with the SE issue or does it also apply to the GS (A1) board? My understanding is the MIB/LIM boards do not have this issue.

I’ve been focused on getting a Yggy+ OG or GS2 but I ran into a few posts stating the SE out is inferior to the XLR out. Is this a real issue? The Yggdrasil would be powering a DNA amp that has SE inputs only. I will likely have a v281 LE as a pre-amp which accepts XLR input so maybe that will...
