Wierd noises from soundcard
Have you tried muting all unnecessary inputs and outputs in your volume control panel? Placing the sound card as far as possible from other cards in the PCI slots could help a bit too.- quke

the power supply makes a difference
I'm sure the Phantom is just that good but it sells for 170€ here. That's just crazy for a 350W PSU.- quke

Which Digital Camera?
Just to give an alternative the Casio Exilim series has been praised. I think the cameras use Canon's excellent optics (like many cameras these days).- quke

Replacement 595 cable
Headphile.com has a HD5x5 cable available but it kind of seems funny because the cable has a sub-mini jack in the headphone end. At least this PDF tells that the HD5x5 series has something completely different. I personally wouldn't mind Larry advertising his product here a bit- quke

url redirection html question
You don't until you click it. The actual operation of a php script (the most common language used to implement more complicate sites) is hidden from the client side. Until you run the script, i.e. click the link, you have no idea what it does. Even a simple...- quke

What power supply for Porta Corda MkII?
I already have a Creek OBH-2 MkII power supply that came with my amp. It's supposed to be a quality 24V supply. Doesn't say on the top if it's a linear one. Would you have any better knowledge if I can use it with the PCII? Figured I (or maybe my father - he's more handy with these ) could do an...- quke

Has anyone read Angels & Demons by Dan Brown?
I don't understand what's the big deal with the Da Vinci Code. Maybe it's the publicity that made lots of people who usually don't read anything read it, but I believe that for people who enjoy reading anyway the book was pretty ordinary (this said in the most non-pretentious way possible - I'm...- quke
