    Earbuds Round-Up

Hi everyone, sorry to bother you, but I need your advice: I'm searching for a pair of earbuds for a friend of mine. What I'm searching for is something that is: -easy to drive (she will drive them with an IPhone) -cable down (she wears glasses) -good mids/vocals but with enough bass to give the...

BEST Sub-100$ BUDGET EARPHONES - Chi-fi, Obscure brands and impressions sharing-REFERENCE LIST

A friend of mine is searching for a new pair of cans. What she's looking for is something: -cable down (since she has long hair and wears glasses) -small footprint, no etymotic ear dildo -good vocals/mids but with a bit of grit and punch to play metal and rock the right way -around 20-30€...

BEST Sub-100$ BUDGET EARPHONES - Chi-fi, Obscure brands and impressions sharing-REFERENCE LIST

Yes, they surely are on the safe side, so for those who are less sensitive than me they can sound boring, BUT I don't agree with you on the bass department, mine reaches pretty deep and hits with a fair amount of punchiness

    Shipping Discussions

I purchased the starfield from Shenzhenaudio Store on Ali during the march anniversary sale. Everything went pretty smoothly until the package hit Singapore, then the tracking had been stuck to "processing at the international sorting center" for more than two months. Fortunately, all's well...

    Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

Agreed. The more I listen to them, the more I like them. I'm starting to think they will be my IEM's endgame, just like the HD650 is my endgame for full sized headphones.

So, after waiting almost three months, I finally received my Starfield. My (unneeded) first impressions: -wow, they look even nicer IRL -can be described as subtle: like the HD650, they don't try to wow you, they don't steal the show, but they simply let you focus on the music. I'm sure I will...

    URBANFUN YBF-ISS014 Impressions thread

Actually you can see that the Be has an emphasis in the lower treble (around 6 kHz), putting it in the "traditional v-shape" category, while the Urbanfun has an emphasis in the upper midrange (2-5 kHz), which is more a Chi-Fi tuning thing

    URBANFUN YBF-ISS014 Impressions thread

About Crinacle's review, I think there are some points to get across: -C+ isn't a bad ranking: in the entry level segment, only the GR07, T4, MH755, Starfield and ER2SE/XR scored higher -reading the review, we can see that Crinacle's deemed the Urbanfan competent under a technical point of view...

Since the NineTail was out of stock, I've ordered the Starfield for 79€, as it seems to be one of the $100 benchmarks right now

With 47 ohm of OI, the Loxjie isn't very suited for IEMs and sensitive headphones though

@Lex11180 I have the Svara-L, which I enjoy a lot with artists like Carpenter Brut, Gesaffelstein, Perturbator, Danger etc. I've read somewhere in this topic that the Smabat is an improved Svara L with the same FR but better technicalities. So the Smabat gets my vote too

Thanks for the reply! I was avoiding BA iems because I always heard that the bass always lacks impact compared to a DD, since the latter moves air. Moreover, both the diamond and the 9tail are described as being smooth and forgiving of poorly mastered tracks, and metal more often than not is...

Ok, I think I'll buy the 9tail, either with the current sale or the anniversary one. Thanks to you and @Slater for the help!

Chinese / Asian Brand IEM Info Thread

So, I have been out of the Chi-Fi loop for more than a year now, because after purchasing the HD650 I stopped myself from buying audio gear for a while. The HD650 does a lot of things right for me, with a well known weakness (bass estension and slam), but sometimes I miss the commodity of a pair...
