Laptops with exceptional built in audio?
It will never happen. My point really was that YOU should get a portable DAC/Amp :)- properlydeafnd

Laptops with exceptional built in audio?
I just think realistically you can blow away any speakers they would ever put in a laptop w/ a Chord Mojo and a set of headphones. Or if you want something really small with nothing to charge, say an Audioquest Dragonfly and some IEMs. Aside from size, there isn't really a market. Nobody is...- properlydeafnd

Laptops with exceptional built in audio?
I agree. I've never seen one that I would consider remotely impressive .- properlydeafnd

Desktop Amp/DAC Recos (Replace my huge Mjolnir/Gungir MB)
My Neve RNHP amp is really outstanding and a pretty small footprint. Feed that from one of the smaller Schitt MBs and you'd have a pretty small setup. The Mojo is also great if you want really small. I like the Yggy>Neve better but it's a LOT larger :)- properlydeafnd

Best PC Media software for music
I liked JRiver before I moved to Roon. Roon is $$$ and the setup is more complicated b/c you have to have a server, but I wouldn't give it up for anything...it's simply awesome.- properlydeafnd

Spotify, Apple Music or.... which one is the best
Tidal is my favorite for 2 reasons: direct integration with Roon and CD quality 16/44.1 files. They have now added MQA files as well so some releases push beyond CD quality. It's more expensive than the others but the resolution is worth it (to me).- properlydeafnd

What computer speakers to get?
I really like my MAudio BX5s. No need for a sub and they sound great. The only hassle is you need an adapter b/c they only take TRS or XLR input. I have a 3.5MM to dual XLR cable that I use for mine.- properlydeafnd

Process and tools to clean and optimize ID3 tags of a full library
I've used the Jaikoz tag editor for years...it's extremely powerful once you figure out it's quirks. http://www.jthink.net/jaikoz/- properlydeafnd

Chord Mojo issue solutions thread.
Hi everyone, I'm a new Mojo owner. It's working great with laptop sources but I've noticed some distortion when using my 580s and an iPhone 6plus using the CCK. It seems inconsistent...if I unplug and reconnect the CCK several times I can get it to go away and sound clean. I tried searching...- properlydeafnd

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
100% flac files. And I only have 2 cards. Swapping either of the 2 takes 10+ minutes to scan. I've rotated through the two enough times they should be the only thing in cache. I do have artwork...it's embedded in the files.- properlydeafnd

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
Both of my 128gb cards take roughly 10min to scan even with 10% free internally. I'm going to wipe it all out and start over and see if I can source the issue. You guys have at least given me hope that it's not just a limitation of the Pono so I'll check the files, try different cards, etc...- properlydeafnd

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
Thanks, I'll give that a shot. Clearly nothing to lose and I was going to try regardless but thought I'd check to see if anyone had confirmed it mattered.- properlydeafnd

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
I'm using 2 128gb Samsung SD EVO class 10 cards. Whenever I swap between the cards, the Pono kicks off Scanning Music Library for a LONG time even if nothing has changed on the 2 cards. I've read it supposedly caches up to 3 cards but mine doesn't seem to be caching anything. Any ideas...- properlydeafnd
