what do i need (to use headphones on PC)

You wont really need an amp if you have a soundcard that can give enough power. sound-wise a pair of HD595 will drive great out of a Creative X-fi soundcard! =) good luck Quote: Originally Posted by squeezor Ok, so im about to order some 595s, a new soundcard (on board right...

Ditch that soundcard... Audigy 2 has ****** channel separation imo...not even the A2 ZS is very hi-fi. If you want gamer-soundcard the SB X-fi is the one that will give you real hi-fi sound.. Hm...and still have the nice benefits of real eax-gaming. Quote: Originally Posted by...

    Alright you nerds, guide me...

Ho-Ho-Ho! I think you shouldn't order a pair of phones without listening to them... Oh well. Just make sure you get really nice cables to hook it up... Would be a shame to buy a nice amp+phones then having it all ruined by bad cabling :/ Btw, try giving the sennheiser-sound a shot...

    A common problem it seems

I would tell you to go and LISTEN before you buy. I'm not a very experienced head-fier, but i have a pair of HD595 and they are very well worth their money sound-wise. A very good all-round headphone that is just TO comfortable not to wear - i'm not lying, these are very comfy for long period...
