V-Moda M-80 vs Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro
... Wow thank you so much for taking the time to write that all down. I think the m-80. I have an hr and a half train ride every morning and evening to get to school, so I like the portability and wearability. I also have a lot of different music types I like, so definitely a much more neutral...- phooy1

V-Moda M-80 vs Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro
Hey head-fi! So the m-100's came out and are being shipped. So that means that v-moda drastically drops the price on the m-80's on amazon. So, in more browsing on head-fi, I was wondering whether the custom one pro's were better or if the m-80's were better than each other. Looking for things...- phooy1

Thanks! They're both around the same right now at amazon. I'll talk to my mom. In the meantime, I'll start a new thread comparing the headphones, just so that I can get comparisons between the two from more people Much appreciated!- phooy1

Quality On/Over ear headphones under $275ish
And actually, I'm thinking about just going with the m-80's, because the price is super low on them, and they're still kick-ass cans. Would that be a viable choice or should I go with something a little different?- phooy1

Quality On/Over ear headphones under $275ish
Quote: Those seem cool, but how's the noise isolation on them (yes they're closed back but not necessarily good at isolating). Also, do you know where, if any, is there more of an emphasis on the bass, mids, or highs? Are they comfortable? And are they durable? Thanks a ton!- phooy1

Quality On/Over ear headphones under $275ish
Hey Head-fi! So I've been trying to convince my parents to get me the newly released v-moda m-100's for the holiday season, but to no avail. They think that $310 is way too much for a 15 year old. So I'm hoping I can find another great headphone in a lower range, but still a great headphone. ...- phooy1

Your advice on a new headphone
So I see you picked the m-80 vs the dt770. The reviews on the dt770 says that basically all that the headphone is good with is bass. I know you love bass, but the vocals and mids get really recessed with these cans. But the build quality is great and they'll last. Personally, I'd go with the...- phooy1

Are the VMODA M-100 Bassy? Plus other headphones
yea well the xb-500 is/was a legend, and it's still frequently talked about, so obviously there must be an appeal to the headphones- phooy1

Your advice on a new headphone
I don't know if anyone else said this, but yes, the v-moda's are almost made for people on the go. So no amp required, and they're super durable too.- phooy1

Are the VMODA M-100 Bassy? Plus other headphones
They are not fart cannons. They're good headphones that yes, are warmer tone towards bass. and not to mention you could literally run them over with a car and they would live. V-moda's are really good for electronic music so I would go for those (regarding bass). But no one can beat the sony...- phooy1

Help me choose :)
Again, I always vote for the v-moda line. They have great headphones that aren't super overpriced for what they're worth. They have amazing sound and great build quality, and the m-100's are right in your price range. But the audio technica's are great cans, and so are the shures. But be careful...- phooy1

Your advice on a new headphone
try the v-moda m-80's (230 usd) or even (im not doing the conversions this might be pricy) the m-100's (310). Both great headphones with emphasis on bass, really great sound and comfort. I'm looking forward to them. You could try one of lower ultrasone headphones. Yea I would (if bass) go for...- phooy1
