Nura: Headphones that learn and adapt to your unique hearing
Ok, I finally received the Nura. I dont post much but during the long wait to receive those I came across this thread and though I d contribute. I watched this Nura video () few times and convinced myself that such genuine reactions could only be triggered by something really special. Well, the...- petiot

Review by 'petiot' on item 'Logitech UE 900'
This is a review for the 900s (using an iBasso DX90) My dear and beloved triple fi 10 died recently, after 6 years of intensive use and a fair amount of abuse, So well done UE, and thanks for the worthy investment. After looking at a dozen of potential candidates for replacement (Shure...- petiot

HTC one S vs iBasso dx 90?
My gf has the nexus 5 too. I will give that a test. I have about 200hr on my iBasso, and I did notice a significant improvement already. We ll see in 200 more hours ... That is what I meant by posting the original post: if one cannot clearly spot what the difference between a dx90 and a (good)...- petiot

HTC one S vs iBasso dx 90?
I have tried with the sennheiser momentum 2 which I had for a week. But with those, the iBasso sounded a little "thin". They sounded however very good with the hm 601!!- petiot

HTC one S vs iBasso dx 90?
Is it? The original post was, I thought. In case you are interested in more of the original post details, I used triple fi 10, and flac 16 bits files of familiar tracks. And I maintain, I challenge anyone to consistently point to the iBasso if put to the same test blind. Most plausible...- petiot

Best Smartphone for audiophile
I have recently wrote a long post about my experince with HTC one S, iBasso and triple fi 10 IEMs. I was shocked to realize that the HTC sounds virtually the same as the iBasso DX 90 (unsing same IEMs and FLAC 16 bits files). And i challenge anyone to the test. Curiously no-one cared to...- petiot

Tablet
Dont bother. People in this forums are only interested in talking about multi thousand $ gear. Check, any posts related to using phones or tablet as source are not even read, let alone responded to. That said, your request is not too clear (at least to me). All tablets are Wifi anyway, and...- petiot

HTC One M9 review "even louder than M8"
How does that compare to a proper DAP? How does a phone like the M9 compare to audiophile level DAP (e.g. Fiio, iBasso, etc.) in terms of sound quality?- petiot

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 or M2 Wired
Crtowles, thanks for the good info ... It makes me think again! Funny that I actually found the mids to be thin on the momentums 2. Maybe I should have burn iny ears longer! ... Might give another go. The momentums have a proprietary cable plug system on the right head phone. This might be a...- petiot

advice on upgrade to cIEM
No offense taken at all!! that is exactly the motivation for my post: Given that I sort of know what sound I want and what sound I do not want, and the source I use I was hoping by posting on this forum to get some suggestions from more experienced members instead of spending the next couple of...- petiot

advice on upgrade to cIEM
Yes I also read on other posts that re-shelled IEM sound different from original. I considered this option to sort of "try" custom iem, but it still costs a fair amount so it is probably not the best option. I am still looking through the various brands. I just happened to read good reviews...- petiot

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 or M2 Wired
What are you using the M2 with? Did you notice a difference in sound quality or signature between the M1 and M2 Momentums? I was thinking of buying the M1 for listening from another source (they are so cheap now)- petiot
