Basic question about adjusting volume on the computer when using a DAC
My remote doesn't work either. However, the mute button on my keyboard does work, and if I set the volume to zero it's also muted, though the volume control itself is not working.- PeterXu

Basic question about adjusting volume on the computer when using a DAC
Haha, kind of too late to reply on this thread, but I also use m903 and other DAC. I want to be able to use the Windows volume, because when I am not using foobar for HiFi, I really need to adjust the volume more conveniently (videos on YouTube have very different volume levels). I have a volume...- PeterXu

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
Haha! but Chinese producers really like to say "heavy bass", it seems like quite a lot of buyers are attracted by this and judge headphones by "heavy bass"- PeterXu

I might get them, but the advertised "heavy bass" is not very appealing to me.- PeterXu

The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread
I totally can't stand a big green thing on my head! At least there is a white version and the stitching can only be seen from the top. So as for appearance I like K701 a little bit more.- PeterXu

Why tubes but no equalization?
Because non-audiophiles love playing with EQ but only audiophiles can play with tubes.- PeterXu

How to check if a flac file is real?
I find it sometimes difficult to check by spectrogram because of the recording of that song. The high frequency part is already gone. Software like audiochecker sometimes gives strange results: It says my FLAC is 95% fake, but after I convert it to wav and check again, it says it's 100% genuine now.- PeterXu

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones Part II
I've been trying to let my friends understand why someone would spend so much money to get better sound but still none of them would buy an amplifier/DAC. However, everyone who has come to my room decided to buy a large monitor haha.- PeterXu
