Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)
It solves all the inherent problems with a power conditioner. And is a step down from a power regenerator and with a considerably smaller price. Typically a large capable power transformer and in my units case some additional filters and balanced. I use a PC for music playback. When the...- PeterCraig

Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)
Master 7 dac here which recently passed it's 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY in my system. Saved from extinction by a 2016 FPGA firmware upgrade. Power is fed from a ZeroZone PT700S Isolation Transformer. I2S signal from a DI-20HE with LHY OCK-2 clock. Thanks Audio-gd for 10 years of music.- PeterCraig

Audio-GD Master 9
I was going to wait a day or two but I feel the rubber band mod gets the thumbs up. Gets a bit dusty and there could be better "bands" out there yet to discover but I like it.- PeterCraig

Audio-GD Master 9
This rubber band was the only one that appeared to fit the bill. Less than $10 USD for a pack 50. PATIKIL Silicone Rubber Bands Rings 50pcs Non-Slip 1 1/4" Flat 5/16" Stretchy and should fit nice and snug. My volume knob gets toasty in the summer though. Arriving Saturday, let's see how it...- PeterCraig

Audio-GD Master 9
In general there is not going to be any background noise generated by any of the Audio-gd products. I have owned 3 amps from them, including the M19, and there is no noise.- PeterCraig

Master Clock Talk
Hard to say until you try it. And it depends on what effect you are looking for in this upgrade. It's going to sound better but perhaps a different upgrade would deliver more results. It's not going to be huge. But still likely worth it. I'm saying don't expect fireworks like what you might get...- PeterCraig

Master Clock Talk
I would say the change is not so apparent that it is easy and clear for anyone to recognize. With the clock in place there is an improvement that you can pick out, especially with separation and space between instruments and voices. Without A/Bing the differences you might have a hard time...- PeterCraig

Master Clock Talk
Hi Duong I have an older Audio-gd dac without clock input. Better quality i2s input makes a big difference in my setup and I pair up the DI20HE with an OCK 2 with great results. Love Vietnam, visit every year, haven't been to your city yet.- PeterCraig
