Does the iPhone 12 Pro work with Schiit 9028 DAC card?

The iPad does not recognize the Schiit 9028 DAC card. I wish I hadn't lost the original DAC card. That worked well.

Does the iPhone 12 Pro work with Schiit 9028 DAC card?

Me neither. I've put it back in the box already to be returned. Ha! It works! Maybe the DAC won't be returned after all. I can live with the glitches and clicks, I think. Streaming Apple Music is a mixed bag -- most of the songs are 24-bit/48kHz and then some are 192kHz others 96kHz etc. I...

Does the iPhone 12 Pro work with Schiit 9028 DAC card?

Previously, I had the AKM Delta Sigma DAC card (it came with the Jotunheim v1). I switched to the multibit DAC card for a few years also. I want to switch back to the Delta Sigma DAC, but I can no longer find it. I learned that Schiit sells a newer version of the Delta Sigma DAC now so I bought...

Does the iPhone 12 Pro work with Schiit 9028 DAC card?

Hello Everyone, Does the iPhone 12 Pro (with a lightning port) work with the Schiit 9028 DAC card? I received my Schiit 9028 DAC card in the mail today. I installed it in my Jotunheim v1. When plugged into one of my MacBook Pros, the 9028 DAC card is recognized and music plays through...

I wholeheartedly agree. It’s not about the cables. It’s all in choosing the right Velcro zip-tie.

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

Hi DavidA, I tried all my headphones just because they were there. Although my lower impedance phones did not require amplification, their sound benefited from the extra power. The sound became "fuller". The most marked improvement was the Shure SRH-840, but I digress. This is about the Jot+DAC...

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

Well, I had given the Jot+DAC more than the benefit of the doubt. I really wanted to like it, but tonight, I give into what my ears have been telling me since the beginning. This is what I have learned from the Jot+DAC. The DAC is terrible! The amp is very nice. I knew this less than 30 minutes...

Is there *really* an audible difference between different DACs?

I can tell because I have done this blind auditioning and I can tell the difference between my DACs and amps.

    Upgrading from Bose QC15

Based on your original post, you will love the Bose QC35. I have it and it is fantastic. That is all that matters. Please do not apologize for your ears' appreciation of the Bose sound. Trust your ears over those reviews. Those reviewers have probably never owned the product or have not...

Is there *really* an audible difference between different DACs?

There is an appreciable difference between the DACs and amps I own. Each of them have great sound, but are different enough like how different suits are all suits, but you can tell they are different at a glance. Some differences are more subtle; they can be discerned only after listening for...

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

Hello rkw, I ordered a 1/8" to RCA cable. When I return from my travels, I will bypass the onboard DAC of the Jot+DAC and use the DAC in my MacBook Pro through the headphone jack as a test. Although I am convinced the issue is truly the Jot's onboard DAC because, as I had mentioned in a...

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

Hello Dr Cornelius, You have a point. I could simply stay with the Element. In the end, I may end up doing just that. However, as I had mentioned, I want to like the Jot+DAC. At the moment, the Jot+DAC is situated in my home office. And the Element has become a part of my real office listening...

Is your Jot near a cellphone, a WiFi antenna or router? Is near something that sends radio signals? If so, maybe try to move it away from it and see if the clicking correspondingly lessens?

You might be amplifying silence. You mentioned Tidal and Spotify. And you mentioned you're between 12 and 2 o'clock on your Jot. Put the Tidal and Spotify volume to the max. Then, your Jot should be well before 12 o'clock.
