Raspberry Pi software defined DAC/AMP
Hello - I'm looking for a side project to work on in my free time and thought I could use a DIY usb DAC/AMP. I wonder about using a Raspberry pi embedded system as a "software defined dac/amp" if this is feasible. I would greatly appreciate some advice such as the feasibility of such a project...- Pasion

How to burn monster turbines?
Out of the box my turbines don't sound any where as good as my JVC FX34's. How long should I wait before I can get 60% of the sound quality?- Pasion

Any Zune owners out there?
That's what I feared. In Microsoft's wisdom, they have made the manual portion of the pad capacitive. It needs electricity to work just like any other capacitive touch screen or laptop track pad. This is a huge deal breaker for me and now groups the Zune (16 & 120Gb) with the iPod touch in...- Pasion

I guess I'm going back to Apple also
What does it say about some of the blind Apple haters on this site (and many others) when you have to say what you want to say in the way you just said it. Personally, I think the iPods are THE best overall mp3 players on the market - especially for the non-audiophile - when you factor in...- Pasion

Any real competitors to the iPod anymore?
"Mastery of the basics is what won the day in portable media devices over the years. It's what's sold the most units to the most people, and tens of millions of iPod users the world over have proven as much by buying into the simplicity-is-key device philosophy. Rapidly accelerating iPod sales...- Pasion

Any real competitors to the iPod anymore?
Winter 2007 Buyer’s Guide: Microsoft Zune 8 vs iPod Nano — RoughlyDrafted Magazine Any unbiased honest non-audiophile who reads this will have very little reason to go for any Zune over an iPod. Although it compares the Zune 8 to iPod Nano, they both pretty much share the same hardware and...- Pasion

I hate reaching for canal phones...
I have a pair of *gasp* Skullfsahkd ink'd canal phones, they are OK for $10. But here is the problem, I find them so uncomfortable after prolonged use. If I use them moderately everyday for a week, my ears start to hurt and feel sore and even without this discomfort, I find it such a chore to...- Pasion
