I swapped out the stock pads just the other day with a set of Hifiman angled sheepskin pads and they went on without too much effort. They fit fine.

I have a spare set of HM5 sheepskin pads in a drawer. I might just give them a try. Thanks for the advice.

If you're looking for clear, detailed, neutral sound from a closed set of headphones that isolate well, these will serve you well. Additionally, they are a classy set of cans so you can wear them in public without being stared at. Recommended.

I received an X7s today to go with my excellent X1s DAC and I am very pleased. It is strong, articulate, and just a bit on the warm side of neutral. It drives my Fostex T-X0 very easily and I am looking forward to trying it out with my other cans! Very pleased, indeed!

Man, for $500 this is a tempting deal. However, I already have the HE-400i. Is the HE-560 enough of an improvement to justify the purchase or is any improvement in the sound merely incremental?

I've got a HE-400i, an HD-6XX, and a T-X0 on order. I am not likely going to order one of these but it does look like a good deal! Tempting!

I have the Tascam TH-02 and the Superlux HD 681, both of which were purchased for under $20.00. The HD 681 is decent enough but the Tascam is absolute rubbish.
