Heh Do you hear more detail with the Clear? Or essentially equal?

I find it interesting that he rates the tonality of the Utopia as slightly better at S vs. the Clear at S-. Can anyone compare the Arya and Clear? It's hard to find much comparing the two.

Seems like others' pads are lasting significantly longer than average headphone pads. The foam quality is especially important since it affects the sound and comfort when it flattens. But even hearing that the microfiber is holding up is very encouraging. Maybe Focal really did buy $100+ foam...

I can say they're one of the best all-arounders. Others with more experience could give you better comparisons though.

Yeah thanks. It seemed like a PITA. Guess I'll just make a leather cover if it ever wears out, or throw it at a cow and hope for the best.

Have any of you thought if it'd be possible to sew a strip of leather into the headband, covering the microfiber?

Do you hear any shifting of the tones between ears in frequency response sweeps or the like? My ears are definitely unequal at certain frequencies. (Nice pic btw)

Same price. The sound is confirmed the same. The extra second pair of pads is more than worth going from 3 cables to 2. The Pro's are just red and black as opposed to grey.

Thanks for the reassurance! I had to measure my amp with a multimeter because I realized I was killing my hearing getting lost in the Clears. Never been so happy with bass. I'd definitely recommend getting the Pro's due to the more durable color and extra set of pads. Other's would probably agree.

FWIW I don't think I've ever run into clipping, and I listen to the heaviest of bass heavy music. Maybe when I was listening to Pieces - TwoThirds, but I was pushing the Clears to about 100 dB's. I think it was just my laptop screwing up however. My understanding is that if you encounter...

I feel like I get the sense that the differences in my hearing between left and right have more of an impact listening to the Clears due to their fidelity. As in because they're so clear and accurate, the scale in which sounds can differ is much more minute. It's as if you were centered in...
