This seems an obvious question to me, but I'm wondering why no-one's asked it before. Why is the internal memory so small, given the amount of space hires tracks take up? I'm buying one, and am going to put a nice big memory card in it, but still.

I went for flacplayer and have found it better and more organising too. A bit of a problem at first with it not putting files into folders, despite my neat tagging. Now seems fine, as I'm not doing confusing things like dragging in several albums by same artist at once! But maybe I'm being too...

With your ipad plugged you go to the apps tag for your ipad on itunes on your main computer (PC for me, I assume it's the same on a mac) and then half way down under File Sharing is a list of apps that can share files with your ipad. Capriccio should be there and if you select it a window...

Can transfer flacs, even 24/96, via apps/Capriccio in itunes, but only as lots of seperate files all in one sequence. Folder dragging not possible. Help is just not available. Frustrating.

I've got an NTFS-formatted 64GB card working fine on my (new!) Z2. And I loaded up some 24/96 files, but they do not sound good to me, so I think that the downsampling rumours are true. If anyone would care to confirm...   I bought poweramp, but the way that the cowon music player works...

News for Brits - advancedmp3players say that they're expecting stocks of the Z2 next Friday - 4/5/2012. I've pre-ordered. Can it play 24/96 flacs?  

I know it's been said that it's possible to play FLACs on the Z series using certain Android players, but I don't see/read anyone talking about having done this. Just to clear up - it DOES work? And sounds just dandy? But not 24/96 files I assume?   Ta.

Probably not, but I think it's more interesting that hi-resolutuion audio is being discussed in the mainstream press. A start.

To clarify, a bit - 3.1 is the version that shipped with the HD5 in the UK, and the rest of Europe I imagine. I think it's been around for a few months, and sucks less than previously.

1. I hear no hiss. 2. The volume hack means I listen with the volume turned up about a third as far as it goes rather than worryingly nearly at the max. 3. I don't care about no cracks!

Found the answer (getting into service mode) here at avforums, and it worked! I'm now on just under two-thirds of max volume (Sony MDR-EX81) which is much more reassuring. Must just go and throw some more cold water on the credit card though.
