Just my two pennies worth:  How about a wooden shelf that the turntable sits on bolted to a base board, but the two boards are separated by springs.  Instead of the top board being directly connected to the bolts, they would would have springs from the top of the bolts down to the turntable...

I do hear it too, but frankly I've come to live with it.  It only seems to be drive access noise, so it's pretty minimal.

Actually I just picked a pair up, on first glance they look fully open backed.  I have to be very honest and say I've never come across a fully open set of iem's.
