Neutrality for $200 or less
I should have specified that. A headphone jack on a computer with onboard amplification. Hence I'm looking for a headphone which doesn't require 'external' amplification.- padcat

Neutrality for $200 or less
I justify my choice of price range because they will be used sparingly, because I'm a loudspeaker person; but I would like a pair of headphones to discretely use at home when the situation calls for it. I prefer neutrality and soundstage because my preferred genre is classical. My criteria...- padcat

Ultimate basic, all-purpose DAP
Seems to me a natural consequence of the specialized DAP being a niche market. I'm almost certain that some day I'll swap my DAP for a smartphone, even though I'm not fond of those at all; I'll end up just adapting to the context.- padcat

Ultimate basic, all-purpose DAP
Well, the DAP market sure doesn't seem promising. So my only choice is, I think, to get a version Sandisk Clip (I will not suffer a Fuze+), while I look for a suitable smartphone (which appears to be difficult.)- padcat

Ultimate basic, all-purpose DAP
There's probably no such thing. Still, I'm getting a new DAP because so far, nothing I've used has completely satisfied me. I've been investigating for a while and want to finish my decision with some input from this forum. I want: · FM Radio. · Good UI: This means no bugs, correct...- padcat

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Quick question: For well-recorded classical music, which of these VSonic earphones would present a 'closer to live' sound: The VC02, the VSD1 or the VSD1S?- padcat

Quote: P. low budget. I would have gotten the Prodipe but I don't feel like waiting for their arrival, while the HD428 have a decent quality/price ratio and are sold in my city. Going to get them now, thanks.- padcat

Shootout: 114 Portable Headphones Reviewed (Xiaomi Mi Headphones added 04/21/2015)
Hey Joker, I'm getting a new pair of economic circumaurals for my laptop. I'm torn between replacing my broken HTX7s with a new pair or get the Sennheiser HD428. I recall enjoying the signature of the Panasonics but I yearned for some more clarity. Will the change from those to the 428s be too...- padcat

Below $80 and $110
I was doing the same thing as you and after reading around I finally settled for the Soundmagic PL-30 (not terribly clear but inoffensive sound, plus decent soundstage) and preordering the Brainwavz M2 (nice impact while mantaining clarity). Both for less than $80. I wish I could get more...- padcat
