So how do you run 2 sound cards effectively. Do you have to disable one when doing one activity, and disable the other for something else?

Has anyone tried the Audigy 4. How is the sound quaility. Is it an improvement? Does it still pale in comparison to the likes of the already known high quality cards? Thanks

One last question about the 1212m. It appears that you can't connect heaphones to them directly. Do you need to have it go to an external DAC or have some other sort of converter so you can use a stereo jack? Thanks

How exactly does the 1212m work exactly. There are 2 cards? One plugs in the PCI slot and the other goes where? does the other (daughter) card just go in any open slot you have. Thanks

So let me get this straight, I'm also uber noob at this. The options of setups are source -> preamp -> power amp -> speakers (or integrated amp instead of preamp/poweramp) Or source -> AV Receiver -> speakers Is that right or did I miss something.
