Difference between Grado sr125i's and Grado sr225i's
My understanding is (from as much as I've read about the Grado Prestige and Reference lines) that the 125, 325 and RS-1 are a little bit more dynamic and detailed, whilst the 225 and RS-2 are a little bit more laid back, with a better soundstage.- oqpi

Marantz CD6004 OR any given CD player + Bifrost DAC?
A few things I've learnt in the past 3 months: 1) USB path from a computer to a DAC needs to be cleaned...no question... either the DAC has circuitry included for that, or, otherwise, you need an external USB cleaner... Most receivers' internal DACs do not have a USB-port cleaner... perhaps...- oqpi

Let's make a few things clear: 1) Economically is not feasable to get a CD player and a DAC; an asynchronous DAC is mostly useful for streaming over USB ports; if you have a decent CD player you would not need an external DAC, as CD is a medium simple to decode for its own internal CD player...- oqpi
