Have you looked at Fidelio L2. They seem pretty close to both semi closed back. I just don't know how good they sound compared to x1/x2. Can someone give the details on sound quality

fidelio x1 should be good for this.

I like the style of the phillips x2  not so much the x1 for the white. metalic bands , L1 is nice too they are similar to grados.   Anyone else has recommendations?

Is used really ok? I mean these will be my first real headphones i wont be able to tell if someone is selling me damaged goods. new they run for about 280. anyway how do these compare to the lower end open back like sr80 and hd598?

I was looking at: ath m50x grados sr80 or 125 senn hd598   But anything under 200 is fine.
