Stax Sigma - how many owners are left out there?
Well spotted. ;) Yes, It is a beautifully put together bit of kit but DOA. I am hoping to find a techy to check it over but all the ones I know are real busy right now. I think / hope it is just a simple PSU fault.- Opethian

SRD-X Pro v SRM-T1S I have an SRD-X Pro and a chance to buy a SRM-T1S. How much better is the T1S over the SRD-X if at all? Thanks in advance for any opinions.- Opethian

Stax Sigma Low Bais and Stax Sigma Pros
^ Hi, I agree, compared to my Gamma Pros, my Sigmas sounded very restrained. Still a very pleasing sound with certain types of music. I only did this mod last night, I compared the sound with my Gamma Pros, they, the Gammas are so in your face by comparison but once my ears aclimatized to...- Opethian

Stax Sigma Low Bais and Stax Sigma Pros
Hi Guys, Well you will love me or hate me for this but trying to figure out how to get a bit more of a detailed sound out of my Sigmas, I tried this modification with the Stax Lambdas in mind, sort of. I took a cardboard tube from a used bog roll, I cut out two oblong pieces 70mm width...- Opethian

Quad ESL 57 vs. Stax delema
No contest, ESL57 ftw. The only speakers better than a pair of ESL57s is 2 pairs stacked. Also forget the Quad11 40s, the originals are much nicer to own, a bit of classic audio history but the ultimate match for the 57s is the Radford MA15, they are light years ahead of the Quad11s but 3... -
