    I think what matters most is how does it sound against the competition. And when I mean competition, I mean the Sony XBA-Z5. It is reportedly similar or better than the SE846 in absolute resolution. Anyone care to compare?

    There is a pronounced difference. There's more "air" in between the instruments and voices. Simple upgrade, indeed. In short, a USB 3.0 is an essential connection for the DragonFly Red.

    The EX1000 is an archaic example to compare to. Why not compare it to the XBA-Z5? Anyway great re-visit of the fine Sennheisers. At lower price, it is now a bargain like never before!

    Interesting viewpoint. Can you compare it to the Sony XBA-Z5? I've listened to the iSine 10 and I thought that they were quite similar except that the Z5's produce a more smoother and more expressive vocal rendition. What do you think?
