CMA18P is too noisy for IEM's unfortunately. Mojo2 reigns supreme, if even a little less convenient. (No LDAC) The CMA18P requires the leather case from the jump to protect it from sliding/scratches. Works fine with the RN6 but the EVO and Campfire offerings, the background hiss on pause with...- OhmsClaw

@smodtactical I'd hope a purpose-built valve amp surpasses a 2 channel integrated. ZMF's aren't susvara nuclear power memes.- OhmsClaw

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!
I'm not the one being passive aggressive with "not sure what is funny". I was wrong about the workings of the unit being a termination mismatch not a feed through presenting the same Z at both terminations. Then I found it funny that the company itself recommends not paring their own device...- OhmsClaw

@GoldenSound I think what he's asking... respectfully, is if you still have it on hand could you please run through some high rates and see what it accepts :) If not we can wait for the Laiv gentleman to respond. Though @audiobill I do think this is redundant unless you have 512 native files...- OhmsClaw

Solaris SE/OG/LE are 10 Ohms. Only 2020 is 15.5 Stellar Horizon are 4.4 Ohms. Andromeda are 12.8. Trifecta are 6.3 BS are 9 Ara are 8.5. Emerald Sea are 6.375. I can regurgitate stats too. What's funny is the disclaimer is antithetical to its applied use; highly sensitive low impedance IEMS.- OhmsClaw

What about OS/NOS compaired to the Wandla GS in stock (no enhancement) HQP filter (Apod or whatever "default" you chose)? Edit: what were the sample rates you fed it? I would not consider DSD to be a proper test comparison for these units (as an all to 16xPCM and modulated DS)- OhmsClaw

Just looked. It's a 16Ohm mismatch termination down to 2.5 and 1 Ohm OI at the IEM side. All sensitive IEM's you would buy for it for are below 12.5 🤣- OhmsClaw

Fir Audio Thread - Discussion and Impressions
Depending on genres, I would go with an Atrium open. That didn't exist when I lusted after my VC (and had 2 open backs at the time). But I don't regret my VC and would never sell it. I am lucky enough to have both :L3000: RN6 is way easier to drive and you won't regret that either =D RED...- OhmsClaw
