I have Malwarebytes and BitDefender on two different PC's. Did not have a problem installing the RGB disable firmware. But If memory serves me correct, I did the the firmware update whilst on Malwarebytes.

Sounds normal to me. Thats about where my volume stays, and I control it via whatever app i am using. Depending on source, mine is always between 1200 & 1400. Rarely do I use the volume knob.

...the only reason I purchased 2 additional sets of pads was the velour pads gets dirty so quick and its a pain in the arse to clean them. They do change the sound a bit though. I actually prefer the sound signature of the X3. I do use the X2HR as daily's though.

EQ settings while using BT with K7 will be available in the FiiO app. If you are using iTunes/Music for playback, there are EQ settings under the Music tab in settings.

To be fair, I did rename mine to K7BT. It does come stock with just the K7 name. You can customize the name😏

You should update or add an addendum to your review to include the K7BT features as compared to the standard K7. With the K7BT you CAN use the FiiO app (albeit limited). Also, you have the ability to update the firmware on the K7BT. You are able to use FiiO's firmware for the K7BT to disable...

Could also be a mute circuit while inputs are being changed... FiiO is good at this.

This is normal operation. What you are hearing is the relay switch for your particular input being "engaged/activated".

I believe so. I think as long as they are not power hungry (High Impedance). I am sure FiiO can chime in... Yeah, I think with the K3 it would overload it especially because it was USB powered. I really like my K3, but needed something I could easily switch between Headphones and Line Out...
