I'm really wondering if I should get this, or wait for the Fiio Q5S? Anyone have any opinions about which they prefer and why?- obiwanshinobi87

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
When I first bought a brand-new pair of Sennheiser Momentum M2's from Amazon, the foam pads came out of the carry case looking like crushed, shriveled prunes. I thought I had bought a fake. After I hung up the headphones for a few hours, the foam pads fluffed out and looked normal again...- obiwanshinobi87

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
Thanks for your input. Do you feel the bass of the Ether Flow was lacking in any way compared to the C Flow? That was my main complaint with the Ether O when I tried them awhile back.- obiwanshinobi87

MrSpeakers ETHER C Review / Announcement - A New Closed-Back Planar Magnetic Flagship from MrSpeakers
I would be interested if those new Omni pads sit further away from the drivers like the cowhide pads. Otherwise, I'm not sure if they would sound that much different from the stock Ether C pads.- obiwanshinobi87

MrSpeakers ETHER C Review / Announcement - A New Closed-Back Planar Magnetic Flagship from MrSpeakers
I bought the ZMF cowhide pads for my Ether C. Didn't do any cutting, just strapped them on after taking off the stock pads. Can confirm, deepens the sub-bass considerably from stock without affecting the overall signature noticeably, at least for me.- obiwanshinobi87

Hifiman Edition X
Thanks so much for your impression. I was very interested in both, but ended up getting the LCD-X and wasn't sure if I had made the right choice because I couldn't audition the HEX. If I had to choose between better treble or bass, I'm gonna go with bass!- obiwanshinobi87

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I had a different experience. Bought the X2 twice, really liked them but thought their mids were really mediocre. Bought the LCD-2F's and was immediately drawn into their intimacy. Their soundstage isn't as wide, but the imaging felt superior and female vocals made my ear tingle when they hit...- obiwanshinobi87

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
I would also look into bestintheverse cables. The maker uses great quality cabling, seems really passionate about his stuff, not bad for pricing either.- obiwanshinobi87
