3D printed closed headphones with HD800 driver
What's your reasoning with going 2x HD800 driver on each side (4 in total)? Or just for kicks? I would vote for sending your current set to Tyll to see how good a diy closed HD800 can be. AND go extremely crazy! Get yet another set of HD800 drivers... doing your 2x2 HD800-K1000 open- nw130d

AIAIAI TMA-1
No sure, there was no provided reason. Ya I am thinking the price is just too low for them to sell. It was around $100usd.- nw130d

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!
Why not sell the HD598 and get HD600 with the £250 budget? Between the HD600 and K550 I would say they cover a wide range of music genres. Shure SRH1540 and Focal Spirit Pro are good as well. For some faster music such as electronic music I think SRH1540 best HD600 and K550. I only demoed...- nw130d

AIAIAI TMA-1
Just purchased the TMA-1 Studio new at a really good price... was looking at the TMA1 Studio thread and it was just dead. Are they that much worse than the TMA1 dj? Anyone likes their Studio more than Dj?- nw130d

3D printed closed headphones with HD800 driver
Assume you are talking about industrial plastic pellets? Even if they sold average consumer the pellets, it be useless. One would need plastic injection molding machine, also custom made injection mods for the plastic to be injected into... Another idea is you can use wooden fibers in thin...- nw130d

3D printed closed headphones with HD800 driver
Great stuff, true hobbyist! Personally always wanted to 3D print closed cups for the HD700. But the 3D printer and measurement tools adds up astronomically! Side note some companies like Inventables are making small CNC machines that runs a Dremel so one in theory can produce any wooden...- nw130d

AKG K812 Pro
Cool, agreed to everything. Clean power is a good idea but personally think most houses have fairly clean power. Unless it is badly wired or always appliance and electronics going eg from roommates or kids. It is not really worth investing a boat load on clean power supply. DAC is for sure...- nw130d

AKG K812 Pro
Very true, K7XX was AKG's way of milking the last of the investment they put into the K7 series, casting and tooling machines etc. I am sure AKG invested much R&D cost into the K812. By looking at their sales on Massdrop and local store, not nearly as popular as HD800 (even after 6 years) for...- nw130d

http://www.head-fi.org/t/753033/akg-k8xx-massdrop-k812#post_11274468 I started the AKG K8XX thread. Not sure if Danny from Massdrop will talk with AKG about it? If there is enough votes I can't see how they will pass on the opportunity. Looking at how stupid well (good way) the K7XX are...- nw130d
