there is a screen protector, so it does cover the screen, yes it's expensive, but you can customize with tons of colour combinations.

works good on mine as well. with v2 firmware, wmp10 transfer real fast, 2 sec per song. with the old firmware, transfer using wmp10 was a lot slower.
