After speaking to the ebay seller I have decided to return the amp. I will be purchasing a new one but I guess I have to wait now for delivery.

Is anyone using a preamp with their amp? Any risk in plugging an Oppo HA-1 into this? I would like to be able to use multiple sources.

I think its hiss from the recordings, not hiss from the amp. Also the volume knob on my Oppo has been crackling, I wonder if it's related.
